Maranda Callender was a smart, bright, spirited teen who loved being with family and friends.

On November 2, 2004 during an argument with her then boyfriend she was shot, point blank in the face, above her left eye.

Even though the bullet could not be removed, she went on for the next 18 months trying to live a normal life; knowing any sudden movement could be fatal.
