Adam T. Dodson
President, Maryland Emergency Medical Services Program

Adam T. Dodson is currently serving as the President of the Maryland Emergency Medical Services Program after being requested to lead the organization by the Founder and the Maryland General Assembly. Adam has played a key role since his appointment to this position developing many programs, and committees that benefit the providers and communities throughout the State of Maryland.

Adam graduated high school in 1993. He attended Harford Community College and University of Maryland- College Park.

In the Army, he graduated from the AMHEDD Center and School under the Surgeon General as a Medical Specialist. Adam currently teaches Paramedic and Critical Care curriculum to both University of Maryland- College Park (MFRI), and University of Maryland- Baltimore County.

Adam Dodson started volunteering in 1989 with the Aberdeen Volunteer Fire Department. He quickly soared through the infrastructure completing his Fire Fighter III credentials before he was eighteen years of age.

By the time, he was twenty-one he had of the training available to him. Adam joined the U.S. Army and Army Reserves in 1997. In May of 2003, NCOIC Adam Dodson received the Army Achievement Medal for services provided to Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Washington D.C. In 2000-01, Adam attended the Maryland CRT program to become an Advanced Life Support provider. Adam Dodson became a State Level III instructor in 2006. Adam has worked as a 911 Paramedic and an EMS Supervisor. He also has experience as a commercial ambulance Operations Supervisor, Communications Manager and Director of Operations. Adam has been a preceptor to over 1,000 EMT-I, Paramedics and Critical Care Paramedics. He is well known for educating the entire medical field on critical care transport medicine. His specialties are Pediatrics, Neonates and Cardiac Care.

Adam has received numerous awards and honors for his dedication, time and service to the Emergency Medical Services. The Empires’ Who’s Who and Metropolitan Who’s Who have both recognized him for being a proven leader in the field of Public Service Education. This year Adam was awarded the President’s Award for his work involving the MDEMSP program.
